A single malt from Dailuaine in Speyside, bottled by Adelphi at 13 years old and a cask strength of 55.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2009 and matured in a single PX sherry cask, then bottled in 2023 as an outturn of 295 bottles.
The nose is oily roasted nuts, buttered shortbread and pralines, with waxed citrus fruit, while cured meat and spiced orange sit further back. On the palate it is meaty malt with spiced biscuits, plenty of stewed fruit, honeyed tea bread, buttery caramel and baking spices. The finish is dense oak and sticky toffee, with a touch of aniseed and clove.
