Dailuaine 21 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the Diageo Special Releases 2025, released under the Horizons Unbound theme. Called Marbled Treasures, it is the first 21-year-old bottling from the distillery.
The whisky spent all 21 years in Spanish oak casks that previously held sherry, so this is a full maturation rather than a finish. It was bottled in 2025 at natural cask strength of 54.3%, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose is dry and spicy, with Oloroso sherry, sultanas, roasted chestnuts and cherries covered in dark chocolate. The palate is creamy and full, with brown sugar, espresso, dried fruit and pepper. The long finish brings sweet ginger and a touch of flint.
