This Dailuaine is a nine-year-old Speyside single malt from independent bottler Duncan Taylor, bottled at 52.4% ABV for the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import. It was distilled on 14 April 2017 and finished in a Pedro Ximénez octave, a small cask with a large surface of wood relative to the whisky. Only 86 bottles were filled.
The nose is malty, with sweet raisins, ripe plums, caramel and chocolate. On the palate, dark dried fruit meets a light liquorice note and nutty sherry spice.
