This is a 9 year old Dailuaine from Speyside, known as the Smokey bottling. Claxton's released it at 50% in the sixth edition of its Exploration Series, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent its 9 years in two different casks that previously held Islay whisky. That ex-Islay maturation has given it a subtle smoky influence.
