This Dalmore Old Malt Cask is a single cask bottling from a Highland distillery, distilled in April 1999 and bottled in April 2011 after 12 years in a refill butt. It comes at 50% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colouring, from a run of 429 bottles.
The nose is sweet sherry with dried fruit, spice and a little oak. On the palate it is full and balanced, with dark chocolate, nuts and a pleasant spiciness alongside the natural sweetness of a sherry finish.
The finish is long and warming, balancing fruit and spice.
