A 12 year old single malt from Dalmore in the Highlands, bottled at 40%. It matured in American bourbon casks and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
Dalmore was one of the first single malts exported around the world, in the late nineteenth century. From 1917 the Royal Navy used the distillery's buildings to produce deep-sea mines, and in the 1960s its malt went almost entirely into the blends of its then owner, Whyte & Mackay.
