A Highland single malt from The Dalmore Distillery, created to honour the saving of Scotland's King in 1263. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Six kinds of cask go into this expression: ex-bourbon casks, Matusalem Oloroso sherry wood, Madeira barrels, Marsala casks, port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques. Each contributes its own flavour to the whole.
The nose brings chocolate, nuts, toffee, spiced raisin and vanilla. On the palate a measured sweetness comes with orange, vanilla, raisins and raspberry, and the finish is spicy oak, polished wood and liquorice root.
