Dalmore – Luminary No 3 (70cl, 49.2%)

Dalmore Luminary No 3 is the third release in the Luminary series, a single malt bottled at 49.2% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for 17 years in American white oak that held bourbon, then finished in seven different casks, among them Calvados, Matusalem sherry, Apostoles sherry and red wine casks from Bordeaux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is a limited edition, made in collaboration with, among others, Design Museum Scotland. The nose is described as orchard fruit, Madagascan vanilla, cinnamon and rosewater. The palate brings red apple, tarte tatin, cocoa, liquorice, cardamom, Seville orange, green tea and wood. In the finish come apricot, ripe blackberry, brioche and cinnamon.
