This is a 6 year old Dalmunach from 2016, bottled by the Dram Mor Group and released in autumn 2022. It was finished in a first-fill bourbon barrel, and 242 bottles were filled. The nose combines sweet cereal notes with toffee apples, creamy fudge and a tingle of white pepper. The palate brings sweet porridge, a soft touch of aniseed and dark oak tones. The finish is warming and rich for such a young whisky, nicely spicy without turning aggressive, and it runs long.
