Dalmunach – 7 Year Old 2016/2023 Cooper's Choice (Sherry Cask #1145) (70cl, 58.5%)

This Dalmunach is a 7 year old single malt from a single Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, number 1145. It was distilled in 2016, bottled in 2023 by Cooper's Choice, and is at a cask strength of 58.5% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or added colouring. Dalmunach is a Speyside distillery that opened in 2014 on the site of the former Imperial Distillery. The nose is dark chocolate, dried fruit and raisins, with gentle smoke, nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate is full-bodied with a strong sherry influence: raisins, almonds, dark caramel, Christmas cake and warming oak spice. The finish is long, with dried fruit, oak tannins and warming spice.
