A 7 year old Dalmunach from Blind Summit Whisky, matured fully in an Amontillado sherry cask and bottled at 55.4% in a 50cl bottle. It is one of 170 bottles released.
Blind Summit took a portion of the whisky out and put it into a 30 litre Amontillado bloodtub, then married it back with the rest. This added mid-palate concentration and a little more aromatic lift.
The nose is fragrant, with stewed green apple, white grape, melon, gooseberry and a touch of rancio. The palate is rich and round, with green apple, almond, sponge and icing, then toffee, fudge and ginger. The finish is long, with oak and carrot cake spice.
