This is a nine-year-old Dalmunach from Speyside, bottled by the independent bottler Rare Find at 60.6% and sold in a 70cl bottle.
Dalmunach is one of Speyside's newest distilleries. After nine years in cask, this whisky was given a 17-month finish in a first-fill oloroso sherry quarter cask.
The nose offers lemon sponge, vanilla custard, toffee, hedgerow berries and a hint of ginger. On the palate come fresh apples, pears, strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants, alongside toffee, chocolate walnut and gingerbread. The finish is long and fruity, with citrus notes building.
