Chief Alchemist Reserve is a 19 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Dark Arts, bottled at 115 proof (57.5% ABV) as an exclusive for the 2026 Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown. The mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. The bourbon spent seven years in Mizunara oak, and the finishing wood is a strong presence. Dark Arts is a blending, rebarreling and finishing house in Lexington, Kentucky. The nose opens with deep sweetness and cola, then prune, coconut frosting and sandalwood. Caramel on the palate gives way to seasoned oak, candied ginger and coconut. The finish brings white pepper, candied orange and long, drying oak, with creamy vanilla later.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
