This is a 13 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, bottled by Darkness at 49.2% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It was first aged in oak casks, then finished in Oloroso sherry octave casks, and it is non-chill-filtered.
The nose opens with dried fruit, dark chocolate and polished oak, followed by warm toffee and a touch of orange peel. On the palate it is full and rich, with stewed plums, brown sugar and roasted nuts alongside cinnamon, cocoa and gentle malt sweetness. The finish is long, with lingering sherry warmth and a trace of spiced oak.
