This is a 10 year old single malt from Deanston, finished in Bordeaux casks. It combines whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks with a short Bordeaux finish and single malts that spent the full ten years in Bordeaux casks. It was originally made for travel retail.
The nose is rich, with grapes, wine, honey, toffee and soft spices. The palate is full-bodied, with dark chocolate, toffee, red wine, more honey and sweet malt. The finish is long and gently sweet, ending with a soft spiciness.
