Deanston – 10 Year Old First Fill Bourbon Cask Idols of Scotland (70cl, 46.5%)

This is a 10 year old Deanston single malt from the Idols of Scotland series by Whiskymax, matured in a first fill bourbon cask and bottled at 46.5% ABV. The series honours notable figures from Scottish history, and this bottling is dedicated to Robert Burns, the poet whose birthday is marked each year on 25 January as Burns Night. It is limited to 270 bottles. The nose is elegant and lightly floral, with fresh orange and a sweet maltiness. The palate is velvety, with creamy toffee, light vanilla, ripe citrus and honey. The finish is long, honeyed, lightly spiced and dry.
