This is an 11 year old Deanston single malt, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2023 for the independent bottler Best Dram. It matured in a first fill Guyana rum cask, number 378, and was bottled at 55.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The release is limited to 313 bottles.
The cask gives a blend of spicy honey and exotic fruit.
The nose is ripe and sweet, with peach and apricot purée over a little vanilla sugar, turning fresher with younger fruit and a hint of strawberry. The palate is fruity and sweet, with light wood adding spice against the apricot. The finish is medium in length, sweet and fruity, with gentle wood and a fine spiciness at the end.
