Deanston – 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl)

A 12 year old single malt from Deanston, the distillery on the River Teith near Stirling in the southern Highlands, in a 70cl bottle. Deanston uses only Scottish-grown malt and distils on four pot stills fitted with boil balls. Its single malts are not chill filtered, and the house style is light and fruity with a farmy side of hay, honey and grain. The nose is summer hay, malty cereal, creamy toffee and honeyed heather, with sweet oak and barley sugar. The palate is smooth and creamy-sweet, with fruit, malty honeyed spice and soft vanilla.
