This is a 14 year old Deanston single malt from the Highlands, bottled at 57.9% in a 70cl bottle. After its first maturation it was finished in Spanish oak casks, which add spice and nuts to the honeyed character of the distillery.
The nose offers candied nuts, praline and honey with a touch of crisp apple and oak spice. On the palate, dry oak spice and oily nuts come with cocoa, nutmeg and toffee. Orchard fruit returns in a dry, spiced finish.
