A 15 year old Highland single malt from Deanston, finished in tequila casks and bottled at 52.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was launched in spring 2023 as the first of a proposed series of experimental releases from the distillery.
The whisky began in American oak casks and was then finished in casks from a tequila producer in Jalisco, Mexico. Its colour is pale gold.
The nose is fresh, with ripe pineapple, crème brûlée and mixed nuts. On the palate, caramelised agave and toasted almonds sit alongside baked apples with custard, and the finish is long, with brown spice and citrus.
