Deanston – 2012 11 Year Old Exploration Series No. 10 (Claxton's)

This is an eleven-year-old Deanston single malt, number 10 in the Exploration Series from Claxton's. It was distilled on 6 February 2012 and bottled in autumn 2024. The whisky matured in a single Oloroso sherry barrique. The nose is fine, with barley sugar, sponge biscuits, vanilla and oak. Sweet vanilla continues on the palate, followed by shortbread and roasted barley. The finish is oaky and sweet, with a creamy vanilla aftertaste.
