Deanston – 2012 13 Year Old Cask 805629 Infrequent Flyers Batch 20

This is a 13-year-old single cask Highland single malt from Deanston, distilled in 2012 and released by Alistair Walker as Batch 20 of Infrequent Flyers. It comes from cask 805629. Around the last five years were spent finishing in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon, which adds a concentrated, velvety richness and dark fruit to the weighty spirit. It is bottled at natural strength, without chill filtration or added colouring, and 348 bottles were released in 2025. On the palate there are Amarena cherries, mocha and macerated raisins, with warming spice and a deep, lingering sweetness.
