A 40 year old single malt from Deanston, the distillery on the banks of the River Teith in a village built around a cotton mill. It comes in a 70cl bottle, with 480 bottles made worldwide.
The whisky is made up of spirit from refill casks and oloroso butts. The refill casks were filled in 2007 and the oloroso casks in 2006.
The nose is rich honey with tropical fruit, oak, sweet malt, vanilla fudge and a delicate hint of dried fruit. The palate is mouth-filling and sweet, with heather honey, pear, apple and vanilla fudge, plus citrus and oak. The finish is long, sweet and honeyed, with fruit.
