Deanston – Distilled 1997 Bottled 2015 Malts of Scotland (70cl, 57.9%)

This Deanston single malt was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2015 by Malts of Scotland. It was matured in a sherry hogshead and bottled at 57.9% in a 70cl bottle, number 115 of 255. The nose is soft cereal, hay and stone fruit over a sweet base of honey and vanilla. The palate is slightly tart and spicy, with yellow fruit such as banana and pineapple and a touch of lemon peel, ending in creamy vanilla and gentle toasted notes. The finish is of medium length, with pleasant malt, creamy vanilla and herbs.
