This is a 14-year-old Deanston single malt made only from organic barley. It matured in American ex-bourbon casks and was then finished for a period in virgin oak casks.
The nose offers cedar wood and vanilla with a hint of freshly washed linen. The palate is layered and fine, with thyme honey, mango and mandarin, and a second hit of spicy cedar from the virgin oak. The finish is creamy, with honey and vanilla and a gentle peppercorn spice at the end.
