Deanston Virgin Oak is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46.3% ABV. It is made from young whisky matured in brand new oak casks from Kentucky.
The distillery is certified organic and runs on hydropower. The new oak does not overpower the whisky.
The nose is fresh citrus, honeyed barley and a subtle hint of smoke. On the palate, toffee sweets come first, followed by a touch of cream and oak. The finish carries oak spice.
