Deanston – Virgin Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46.3%)

Deanston Virgin Oak is a single malt Scotch whisky matured first in ex-bourbon casks from a family-run cooperage in Kentucky, then finished in virgin oak casks. The bourbon casks give a zesty character, while the virgin oak adds spicy aromas. It is bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose has lemon zest, barley sugar, apple and nutmeg. The palate is sweet, with candied fruit, vanilla toffee and heather honey. The finish is lightly spiced, with honeyed malt and sweet oak.
