This is Whisky Sponge Edition No. 65A, a 30 year old single cask Glen Garioch from 1991, bottled by Decadent Drinks at its natural cask strength of 41.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It spent its first 10 years in a refill hogshead, then moved to a first fill port barrique for a further 20 years, a full double maturation.
It is described as a mature, dark old malt with the character of older sherried whiskies: dark sticky fruit, chocolate and rancio.
