Demonio de los Andes Acholado is a Peruvian pisco from Tacama, a winery that has grown vines in Peru since 1520. The name comes from Don Francisco de Carvajal, nicknamed the Demon of the Andes. It is an acholado, a blend of four grapes: Muscat, Quebranta, Albilla and Torontel.
The nose shows white peach, lime and melon, with herbs and white jasmine. The palate is dry and soft, with banana and pear returning alongside a hint of tobacco. It suits cocktails, the Pisco Sour in particular.
