A blended Scotch whisky from Dewar's, aged for at least 12 years and sold in a 1 litre bottle at 40% ABV.
Every whisky in the blend spent at least 12 years in first-fill ex-bourbon oak casks. The finished blend is then returned to wood for a second period of rest, which Dewar's calls double ageing.
The nose is soft, with honey, vanilla and ripe fruit over a touch of toasted oak. The palate is round and silky, with caramel, raisins and citrus, plus malt, honey and a little milk chocolate. The finish is long and gently spiced, with lingering sweetness.
