Dewar's 12 Year Old Double Aged (70cl, 40%)

This is a 12 year old blended Scotch whisky from Dewar's, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. Thirty selected malt and grain whiskies go into the blend. After at least twelve years of maturation, the blend goes through Dewar's two-stage ageing and is finished in first-fill Bourbon casks. That extra time in wood is meant to bring the components together and underline a soft, balanced character. The nose is typically described as vanilla, citrus and fresh fruit. On the palate come butterscotch, cereal notes and gentle spice, and the finish pairs light smoke with oak and a pleasant honey sweetness.
