Dewar's Double Double 20 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky finished in Oloroso sherry casks, bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle for the Year of the Snake in 2024.
The Double Double method was introduced by Dewar's in 1901: the whisky is aged, blended, aged again and then finished in sherry casks. Cinnamon and ripe grapefruit are noted in the blend.
The nose is delicately sweet, with candied notes, hints of orchard fruit and sweet spice. The palate brings fruit cake and candied citrus peel, and the finish is silky smooth.
