This is a German single malt from the DIS ONE distillery in Kirchberg im Illertal. It was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2024 at 43.6% ABV, in a 50cl bottle, as an original bottling. It is chill-filtered and has no added colour.
It spent all seven years in a hand-selected first fill Bordeaux wine cask, number 15, so this is a full maturation rather than a short finish. It dates from the first year DIS ONE filled its own casks.
The nose shows ripe orange and grape with a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is creamy and silky, with sweet fruit, vanilla and marked oak spice. The finish is long and intense, with spicy depth.
