Domaine Jean-Pierre Maldant Ladoix Blanc 2020

Domaine Jean-Pierre Maldant Ladoix Blanc 2020 is a white wine from Ladoix, made from Chardonnay planted in the late 1990s in the Les Ranches and Les Chaillots lieux-dits. Both parcels lie on a stony subsoil of limestone, red clay and marl. The grapes are harvested and vinified separately, with partial destemming, 24 hours of cold skin maceration and gentle pressing. After fermentation in steel tanks, the wine matures for 10 months in used 228-litre Burgundy barrels. It has a bright, light golden colour. The nose is aromatic and mineral, with creamy notes of acacia blossom, passion fruit, kiwi and white peach. The palate brings lime, quince, green pear and fresh fig, with a fleshy, structured, rich texture, good freshness and a dry finish. Serve with shellfish, fish, white meat and mature cheeses.
