Big Peat 12 Year Old is a small batch blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled at 46%. It is a vatting of malt whiskies from Islay distilleries, with Caol Ila, Bowmore, Ardbeg and Port Ellen named among them, and it is a peated style.
Twelve years in cask have added sweetness and smoothness to the smoke. The nose is described as leather, burnt wood, oak and embers from the fire.
