Douglas Laing Double Barrel Islay & Highland (2021) (70cl, 46%)

Double Barrel is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, bringing together Islay and Highland malts. Each cask is hand-selected, and the whisky is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The Islay malt supplies smoke, while the Highland malt adds a crisp, lighter side. The nose shows soft smoke, vanilla, honey and a hint of citrus. The palate offers sweet malt, salty peat and light spice. The finish is long and subtly smoky.
