This is a 12 year old Dailuaine, distilled in 2009 and bottled independently by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular Midnight Series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 57.3% ABV.
The whisky was finished in a Sherry butt and is a single-cask release of 270 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose offers blackberries, ripe plums, tobacco, freshly baked cake and baking spices. On the palate come raisins, currants, ginger, sweet barley, mocha and vanilla cream. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, chocolate and oak spice.
