This is a Highland single malt from Blair Athol, released by independent bottler Douglas Laing & Co. as part of its 75th Anniversary Diamond Collection. It was distilled in June 1993, matured for 30 years in a single Sherry butt and bottled in July 2023 at 54.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Just 399 bottles were hand-filled, without added colouring or chill filtration.
The nose opens with coffee, then fresh autumn fruits, cinnamon and freshly baked cake. The palate brings sugary sultanas and ripe fruit, warming spice and a creamy texture. The finish is warming and increasingly dry, with cooling mint, then mocha and spice.
