Dream Whisky Il Viaggiatore Rye (50cl)

Il Viaggiatore is a high-rye American whiskey from the closed Death's Door distillery in Wisconsin, in a 50cl bottle. It belongs to the American Oak project, a yearly series of single cask bottlings from Dream Whisky and Jerry Thomas Project. It was distilled in a Carl column still fitted with four extra copper plates, then aged for six months in new charred American oak barrels. The nose is rich and complex, with balsamic pine and light touches of orange blossom and pineapple. The palate is elegant, with black tea, liquorice, nutmeg and tobacco, leading to a long finish of chocolate and bitter cocoa.
