Duncan Taylor The Big Smoke Islay Blended Malt (70cl, 46%)

The Big Smoke is a blended malt from Duncan Taylor, made entirely from Islay single malts. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV and is not chill-filtered. The focus is on peat, smoke and maritime character, without sweetness. Ageing in oak barrels carries the smoke rather than dampening it. The nose is described as heavy peat smoke, ash, sea air and a little citrus. On the palate come campfire, pepper, salt and wood, followed by a long, dry, smoky and maritime finish.
