This is a single cask Highland single malt from Royal Brackla, distilled in 2011 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in 2020 at 54.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent nine years in oak, then a further nine months in an Octave cask. The small cask brings extra wood influence, adding sweetness, spice and oak to the fruity, malty character of Royal Brackla. The nose is ripe orchard fruit, sweet malt and vanilla with caramel and gentle spice. The palate is full-bodied, with fruit sweetness, creamy malt, toffee and warming spice. The finish is long and warming, with fruit, vanilla and oak spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
