Eden Mill – St. Andrews Single Malt Whisky 2018 (70cl)

The first release in Eden Mill's annual single malt series, issued each year for St Andrews Day, in a 70cl bottle. It is golden-amber and made from a mix of golden promise and propino barley, drawing on some of the 'honey' casks chosen by the distilling team. The nose is delicate, light and straw-like, with soft vanilla and candied barley-sugar sweetness and a hint of hazelnut. The palate is sweet and juicy, with peach and plum; sherry influence shows as light fruitcake and sweet, oaky vanilla. The finish stays light and candied, with delicate spice and hints of dried plum and raisin.
