Edradour – 2012 10 Year Old Single Sherry Butt Signatory Un-Chillfiltered Collection (70cl)

A ten-year-old single malt from Edradour, distilled in 2012 and matured in a single sherry butt. It was bottled by Signatory in its Un-Chillfiltered Collection, in a 70cl bottle. The tasting notes credit Oloroso casks with giving the whisky depth and fullness, and mention a rich mouthfeel that comes from the smallest traditional stills in Scotland. The nose is rich with spiced fruit cake and roasting nuts. On the palate come red berry fruits, spiced sultanas, maple syrup, almonds and a hint of Dolly Mixtures. The finish is creamy oak with mild, warming spices.
