Elijah Craig – Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

This is Elijah Craig's signature Small Batch, a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 47% in a 75cl bottle. It is aged in Level 3 charred new oak barrels and handcrafted by the master distillers, with the whiskey drawn from stock of roughly eight to twelve years old. Elijah Craig is named as one of the first distillers to age whiskey in new charred oak barrels, in 1789. The colour is burnished copper. The nose is complex, with vanilla bean, sweet fruit and fresh mint. The palate is smooth and warm, pleasantly woody, with spice, smoke and nutmeg. The finish is long, sweet and slightly toasty.
