Elijah Craig Straight Rye Whiskey is an extra-aged Kentucky straight rye from Heaven Hill in Bardstown, bottled at 47% ABV in a 1.75L bottle.
The mash bill is 51% rye, 35% corn and 14% malted barley, and the whiskey is aged in new charred oak barrels.
The nose is peppery, with dried herb and caraway alongside caramel and vanilla. The palate is bold, with cinnamon and pepper against corn sweetness and oak caramel, and the finish is warm and spiced, with rye grain and oak lingering.
