Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Ryder Cup 2023 Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 47%)

This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill in Bardstown, made to mark Elijah Craig's partnership with the Ryder Cup as the official bourbon of the 2023 event. It is a limited edition bottled at 47% ABV. It starts from Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel, a small batch bourbon finished in toasted new oak, and adds a finish in European toasted oak barrels. European oak brings a firmer tannin structure and some dried fruit alongside the caramelised wood sugars. The nose has caramelised wood sugars, toasted nuts, caramel and vanilla. The palate is warm caramel and vanilla with toasted oak spice and subtle dried fruit. The finish is long, with toasted oak, spice and caramel.
