Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (1995) (75cl, 45%)

Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon at 45% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It is named after Master Distiller Emeritus Elmer T. Lee and is hand selected and bottled to the standards he set himself. Lee joined the distillery as a maintenance engineer in 1949 and retired in 1985. In 1984 he introduced Blanton's Single Barrel, the first single-barrel bourbon, and his own single-barrel namesake followed not long after. The nose brings clove, vanilla and old leather. On the palate, fruit, honey and vanilla meet a light spiciness, and the finish is long and warm.
