ElsBurn Cosy Winter X is the tenth edition of this German winter bottling, the 2024 release of the Hercynian single malt. It was matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry and Amarone wine hogsheads, which give it a warm red-brown colour, and the malt itself is gently wood-smoked.
It is bottled at 53.1% ABV in 641 bottles, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The notes mention a hint of open fire alongside spiced biscuit, dried fruit, red apple, mandarin, plums, raisin and chocolate.
