Hound is Chapter Five in Fable's story-driven series: a 12 year old single malt from Mannochmore, a Speyside distillery, in a 700ml bottle.
It was matured in a hogshead and bottled at 55.8% ABV without chill-filtration.
The nose opens with fresh bread and stone fruit, touched by a grappa-like note. The palate is light and oily, moving through peach, green apple and florals. The finish is fresh and gently warming.
