Chapter 9, called Storm, is a 12 year old Auchroisk single malt from Fable Whisky, bottled at 59%. It was matured in American oak, which brings candied fruit, oatcakes and a touch of marmalade, with a hint of pepper on the finish.
The nose is caramel fudge and ginger biscuits, with baked pear and light vanilla from the cask. The palate is buttery, with fresh green citrus, apple skin and candied ginger. The finish is not long but dry, with freshly cut grass and fresh bread.
